Backstitching is awful
I have watched and read everything I can find when it comes to backstitching when you start and finish a seam.
I still have problems. More often than not, actually.
For example, many times I can't for my life fit a needle on top of a thread when the recipe tells calls for it.
How did you master the perfect parallell backstitching?

Mister Andersen! Actually, your guide was the first I ever read, it is very, very good! Maybe I wasn't patient enough to practice as much as I needed. Philip's video is great, but even though I follow the steps, I don't really get the results. I found the japanese video on youtube, very interesting method. I haven't tried it yet, though.
