Resin back adhesion issue
Struggling to get anything to bond to a piece of resin backed Walpier Buttero veg tan leather to itself ie back to back. Have tried sanding the surface and using some solvents to clean it but still can’t get good adhesion with contact adhesive.
Has anyone else experienced this issue and solved it without having to skive/split it down to remove the resin layer?

@GC That's a pickle!
If anything was going to work it would be the Evo-Stik.
For the benefit of the forum I will post my reply to you via email:
'I would suggest using a more aggressive roughing tool such as the one made by NT Cutter in Japan.
If it's that bad, you can even use a wire wheel on a Dremel, just be sure to use suitable eye protection for those little suckers!'
Let us know what you try and if you succeed. Perhaps there is someone else on this forum who has encountered the same issue.
