Help From The Community

Hello there everyone, I recently bought an MM Colombo lock and I m having difficulty trying to figure out how to deal with the back prongs, should I cut them tho measure? should I bend them? should I cut them and bend them?

Anyways, if someone has some pointers on how to install this lock I ll be very gratefu.
