Help From The Community

Hello all, I am hoping that you can help. I want to add some leather to a wooden chair (unsupported seating and back). Someone suggested English Bridle leather as its firm and two layers can support heavy weight with no firming material. Is that the case? Which thickness would you suggest? Where is the best place to source it?
