Skiving machine settings
Hi,
I am facing an issue with my skiving machine and I was wondering if you could help me.
The blade was too far from the foot, so I used the wheel to bring them closer. However, this caused the sharpener to no longer align with the blade, and as a result, I can no longer sharpen the knife.
I am unsure if it's possible to adjust the sharpener arm to move it back into alignment with the blade. Do you have a solution to my problem? I would greatly appreciate it. I have attached a photo of the inside of my machine.

You may have tried this already, but if you can lift the machine over far enough, loosen the locking nut and move the grinding wheel into a position where it makes full contact, then hold the grinder there while you tighten the nut (wearing cut resistant gloves).
Even if you are a few microns out, you will need a bit of a grinding session to get back 100% full contact.
