Ostrich for inside of a bifold?
I’ve been asked to make a bifold wallet with ostrich for the inner sections (basically like the picture below, but ostrich instead of kangaroo), I was considering reinforcing it with kangaroo for strength, but was wondering if I need to? I’d be using kangaroo split to 0.3mm, and ostrich at 0.5-0.8? as thin as I can get without ripping the puffs off.. or should I just use 0.8-1mm ostrich with reinforcing tape across wear points and for stiffening edges..
Not sure if I’d be turning the edges, or just cut and burnished for the tops of t-pockets etc.. or edge paint is an option too I suppose..
any input welcome and appreciated :-D

At least I’ve got a decent timeframe to work with, I’ll have to experiment a bit… It definitely wasn’t what I was hoping the client would choose lol !
thanks for the feedback.. I usually avoid using fabrics in my wallets, but might just have to bend/break my rules..
