@Terry Millard I've simply screwed the wood to the bag from the inside. If I were to do it again, I would have threaded the end of the square rod that fits against the wood and inserted a small bolt that way instead. Visually it makes no difference, but from an engineering standpoint it's a little more resolved.

Hi Terry. Glad you like the case. Leather work for me began because of the hardware. I had been looking for a belt you ages and couldn’t find one I liked enough to buy. I have a large wood shop so I bought some sheet brass and started making my own. Once I had the buckle I had to make a belt to go with it!

As I understand, it's from an Italian tannery.

I especially like the strap to cinch the shaving brush snug. Nice touch.
