De Havilland Bag WIP
Moving right along. Got the internal zip pocket in the other night and quite happy with how it turned out. Currently working on the gusset zip. Because the gusset pieces (the lining and exterior) are so flimsy I've been using some double sided tape on my bench and laying masking tape, sticky side up, over the top of it to help secure the pieces and prevent any weird stretching or pulling out of line. It might be overkill but adds some security to the process. It's getting difficult for me to stop working on this as things start coming together.
Here's a couple shots of my internal zip pocket - still need to add the zip pull but you get the idea.
Many thanks as always Phil for the detailed walk through. Learning a LOT.

Yes, easy to forget to eat /sleep when deep in a good, challenging project.
Unfortunately, I’m at a stand-still. The leather I initially purchased for piping ended up being too narrow. Ordered more which I was hoping would arrive so I could crank away all weekend but the shipment is delayed until Tuesday. I did manage to get the main zip stitched in and explored some different zipper pull techniques but the fact I couldn’t keep running with the main build was disappointing.
Will try to share more build picts as I move forward.
