round vs tapered mauls vs mallet
Are there obvious pro's and cons to the different shaped mauls/mallets?
How many oz should a striking tool for irons be? I am looking for the smallest possible hammer to fit in a leathercraft tool box.

I find im always reaching for my smaller mallet. I have the Barry King tiny one. It's got these little ridges on it to stop the tool slipping off when you strike it. This was my first 'upgrade'.
