I was fortunate enough to live within driving distance of the factory that makes these, so I went there to meet the owner Karl French.

The factory is a state of the art facility right in the heart of the countryside around Colchester. The factory and offices are located inside refurbished barns on a massive farm surrounded by beautiful fields. It looks like something from a postcard!

With a good mixture of traditional workmanship and modern CNC machinery, this place was a feast for the eyes for anyone interested in mechanics and tech.

I got to have a tour of the factory, which included a rather nice american style diner complete with booths. Karl seems to love Americana! It's pretty cool.

After having a play on all the models in the show room, I was taken through some tricks of the trade and given quite a bit of useful information to take away with me. All in all I was there about 6hrs!
