Micro-Suction Tape (Glue-less Adhesive)
Received LV iPhone wallet as a gift, and when I upgrade to iPhone X some years later the design had changed. Rather than buy a new wallet, I researched the one element which kept me from making my own, the non-sticky substance that the phone attached to.
After much research, there are two products on the market, the below listed one is what I believe LV uses to stick the wallet and phone together without the use of additional hardware.
They can make custom orders/runs etc. I bought the sample pack and that was enough for me. A word of caution, one company made a wallet where the suction came in contact with iPhone screens and it ruined/left a mark on that small section. So, don't adhere it to phone surface.

Would trust it to keep tools stationary on a flat horizontal surface, but there needs to be a lot of flat surface area to get a good adhesion when vertical. Also, dust breaks down the adhesive property, but can easily be restored by wiping it with wet, lint free, cloth. However, having it out in the open, like on a wall, would mean likely contact with more dust. Best!
