solvent based contact adhesive

not sure if this is ok, but happened to leave the lid off the only pot of contact adhesive i had (not good), anyway was searching online, and found city plumbing (www.cityplumbing.co.uk) have it on offer at £1.00 (excluding vat) a tub, also the thinners at the same price. So if you are in the UK, time to stock up as i have done.

hope its ok to post this up?

@Fadi Ah, that sucks.

That is the downside of using contact cement with a burnished edge though, especially after the leather goes through some shrinkage.

If I have to use contact adhesive with a burnished edge, I usually wipe some solvent cleaner along the edge to dissolve the rubber before I finish with a wax.

If you're interested in buying some contact adhesive cleaner, there's a link at the top of the page, I believe it's on sale :D:D:D
