Tried my hand at my first exotic. Have been sitting on this glossy alligator tail for a while trying to hype myself up and convince myself to actually use it. I used ripstop nylon for the card slots, some overstock "classic" goatskin on the backside and lined the top pocket with Buttero belly. I am thinking I need to order some Saphir Reptan to try to buff out all the scratches I put into it while making and storing the alligator tail. I still have some minor work to do with the edge paint, it looks real good when it isn't loaded, but there are some wrinkles in it when I load it with credit cards, business cards, and a half dozen dollar bills. I'll probably use this as my daily carry since if you open the top pocket, you can see some rubber cement on the ripstop. I'll have to be more careful on the next one. Overall very pleased with the outcome.

Great work! It looks really good, well done.
Glazed alligator is much like other fine polished or glacé skins, very finicky about how it's bent or shaped. They much prefer staying completely flat unfortunately
Looks great! Thanks for sharing. I know what you mean about hyping yourself up to use a special skin that you have been saving.😂
