Hi everyone! My name is Brent Duncan and while I've been a LCMC member for some time now this is my first forum post. My career, as it were, is as a cinematographer. However when COVID happened my work came to a screeching halt (as did most others). I spent the first two weeks playing video games and watching movies, but quickly boredom overtook me and I needed a creative outlet.
I started taking product photos, which quickly evolved into my finding myself happily thrust into the world of EDC (every day carry), things like pocket knives, wallets, watches etc. and I began a small company focused on that. Within a few months it became apparent that I needed to find someone to do the leatherwork I needed for my company to grow. After doing some serious research I decided that I might actually enjoy doing the work myself. Almost three years have passed and I absolutely love this craft! It appeals to both the creative and detail-oriented parts of my brain and I find it immensely satisfying.
Being in Minnesota the winters tend to be brutal, so love spending the days in my leather shop and, in large part thanks to Phil, I've been slowly but surely getting into more sophisticated projects.
Not sure what else to say but thanks for reading my ramblings and Iām sure we'll chat at some point!
Thanks for the introduction Brent! I'm glad you've decided to join us here. Welcome.
Hello hello hello there captain!
First, welcome!
Second, I like your Mara bag!
Third, I don't understand the EDC Coin hype. I understand the pocket knife, the 7 keys differents keyfobs in the 12 pockets of the pants, the pens and others, the only thing I never got is the coins :D
