Hey all!
So, following the post I made some time before about creating a business logo, I finally decided to keep the name I have in my IG account (Leather Sapiens), provisionally, and proceeded to order a set of leather stamps, as I want to add the brand in my projects.
I ordered mine to Hex n' Hit (IG:@hexnhit) and I must say that their service is the quickest I have ever experienced with anything I purchased online. They reply in few minutes and once you approve the "drafts" they send you, they have your order ready to ship in approx 48h.
The packaging is very nice, it comes like I show you below:
Concerning the price, it's much cheaper than ordering the same in Europe. For example - and this, without meaning that the French don't do a good work -, I've been offered for Xmas a stamp made in France by Maison J.B Alivon (http://www.jb-alivon.com/1.aspx). This was a stamp with my nickname and a fix wooden handle, that delayed approx 3 weeks to be done. The price was (as far as I could investigate), EUR 80.- On the other hand, this Thai company made 2 interchangeable stamps and one handle for EUR 113 (EUR 117 including shipping, this is USD 128 in total). If I hade to order 2 stamps to Alivon, I would have spent approx EUR 180/185 shipping included. I insist, this doesn't mean that one product is better or worse than the other, it's basically production costs being quite different between countries. And it's normal.
I like very much the quality of this product, I tested it in a scrap piece of leather as you will see below. The example above was stamped heating and hammering it on dry leather. The example below, was with wet leather and hot stamp.
Another thing to say, is that in this scrap piece I had tested some wax I had made last week to use in a jacket I had re-dyed ( I took the "recipe" from Phil's apron course). I made it of bees wax, olive oil and coconut oil. Just what I had at home at that time. I had forgotten of this until I moistened the leather. Andddd.... voilà! the wax kept it totally dry! So, I like also how the "homemade wax" works, too! :)
Ok, and that's all what I have to say for now :)))

Thats great feed back! Maru! Do you know if the stamps can also be mounted to a stamping machine as well?
Great Job Maru! I like your new logo, it looks really cool 🤗
I'm glad you like the wax recipe, it's also good for the hands and as a lip balm! 💋 😀
Hey Maru! New stamps look great! I like that the “Handmade in Spain” stamp is separate. I wish I would have split my stamp into two. How are you heating your stamps?
Nice logo, nice everything!
