Nice to see this work being done entirely by hand. Sometimes seeing the machine clicker, template and huge press, surprises me. Remember, or at least think I remember, seeing Hermes us this for their watch straps. Always made me feel like there was no way I could achieve their quality, because of the machines at their disposal. However, after seeing this, reaffirmed that those precise cuts and angles are possible using skilled hands.
Also, was interesting to see him add water while skiving. Wonder what that does.

Ah dear Ol John Lobb. The videos are amazing, they show so much and so little at the same time. The guy who directed them in a genius. I specially like the no-music-only-real-noise approach.
