I need an anvil for setting rivets into small interior areas on bags and help deciding what anvil to get. Tandy leather has a 2 pound "mini anvil", It's made for leather work but is it really heavy enough to do the job? I haven't seen anvils in any other of the leather tool suppliers that I frequent. Any input on anvil selection for leather work will be appreciated.

I just use a square block of steel about 20mm thick. You can get them cheap on ebay. Usually they are marketed towards jewelry makers. You don't want anything too tall for interior areas. Just be sure to round the edges and corners, then glue some thick/soft leather underneath to protect the interior of your project
