After using manual creasers for a while now, I think it may be time to add an electric edge creasers to my workshop. I'm looking at the Rocky Mountain Leather Summit X1, along with the set of mini tips. For those that have the mini tips, how do you like them in comparison to the full size tips? I'm also looking at the 12 vs 22 piece set, with the difference being the A, G, and GN tips being added to the 22 piece set. Will I miss not having those tips? I can't say that I've seen them widely used before.

I received the titanium awl sold by Rocky Mountain Leather today and WOW, I'm blown away by the quality and how sharp it is! I have a question for @philipjury1 and anyone else who has this awl. What are your tips to maintaining the sharpness? It has a few facets so I want to make sure I strop and sharpen it correctly when needed. Photo of said awl, along with hardware and leather for a bag.

This was such an enjoyable bag to make, and I learned a ton making it. I'm fairly new to handstitching, so this bag made me put in the hours and I think my technique has improved. Thanks Philip for creating this pattern! Would you ever consider making the larger Turenne pattern available for purchase?

Thought I'd post some bags that I've made over the last few months. The duffel bag is one of 16 bags ordered by a company for Christmas gifts. I was previously skiving by hand, but when I got that order I promptly ordered a bell skiver 🤣.

In Say Hello Before Posting
Hello all! I've been doing leatherwork for a little over a year now, and primarily make bags. I also sew clothing, and have been sewing for about 4 years now. I have a small business selling both my bags and clothing, although it is not my primary job. My workshop started off as a tiny cabinet in the living room and has since migrated to half the basement, with various machines, tools, textiles, and leather. My happy place. I found Leathercraft Masterclass when searching for rolled handle techniques. I was not finding great information on how to do them properly. The Lancette rolled handle video teaser popped up, and I thought to myself "THIS. I NEED to know how to make a handle that looks like this." Every video I've watched so far has been immensely helpful and I have learned so much in such a short time. The majority of my bags are machine stitched, but my goal for this winter is to improve my hand stitching. I plan to follow along with the videos and create a De Havilland bag for myself. Thanks Phil for sharing your knowledge with us and for creating this space for us here!
