Hi All, I found an online posting for a used bell skiver a few hours from me. So far the person posting did not have a lot of info. What are some questions that I should ask or things i should look out for? I was thinking it would be a few years before I got a skiver but that time may move up if this is a good enough deal. Thank you.

Here are a couple of cool videos from the French company Camille Fournet. They show their steps for making a bag and an alligator watch strap. https://lamanufacture.camillefournet.com/en/bag

My first belt is the first project from the Leatherwork School book. It’s Wickett and Craig forest green bridle and medium brown harness with Vinymo thread. It was the first big project using my new Kevin Lee 3.85 stiching irons. If I make another one it will be for someone skinny like my kids.

I’m doing some test strips for a belt and my husband is no help. It’s for the reversible belt in Ellen’s book. I‘m using Wickett and Craig forest green and medium brown. The treads I have are Vinymo in an off white, medium brown and forest green. I either match one color leather or go contrast on both. Thanks.

I finally got these finished. I needed a project for small scraps And this was fun and only a little frustrating. Molded Buttero leather with silver and gold Vinymo thread. Punched with 3.85 KS Blade round dents. There’s only gold one because my daughter said, “Mom, no one like yellow snow.” I was going to resew it with silver but she thought it was a funny so it stays.

Hi Everyone, My name is Andi and I live in Atlanta. I'm new to leatherwork and try to fit in projects between work and family. I do most of my work at the kitchen table. I'm looking forward to meeting and leaning from everyone.
