So recently, I been seeing oval holes everywhere (Okay that did not sound right :) ) Anyways, are they stronger? og pure looks
And is it only Blanchard that make and oval hole punch?

Look at your belt. The hole you use the most always looks oval from all the stretching the prong forces on it. Oval just let it retain it's shape.
Mainly functional. It allows the prong to lay flatter and the strap to deform less so that it doesn't stick out as much.
