Hello. I'm Joe Gatutha (21 yrs) from Nairobi, Kenya.....my affair with leather started since i was 17 scrolling through Pinterest for bespoke shoes by the best shoemakers in Europe......I bought myself a toolkit last year and I'm hoping to start my company later this year...... Currently i do a few bespoke leather items;wallets,belts, watchstraps, laptop sleeves....most Kenyan brands are doing a poor job at providing value for money so I hope to show them how it's done💪

I took some veg tanned leather to a shaving machine at a local tannery after soaking it overnight in water......the machine was able to shave it but the grain side develops bumps filled with air(that's our assumption; they look like tiny boils) and i can't use it like that......please help with any advice or possible solutions....I left a few hides at the tannery to so I really need to know what's wrong before they try shaving it again.
