Hi, I live in Canberra, Australia.

I started leathercraft in 1990 doing a short course in strapwork (saddlery) at technical college at night for fun.

Our teacher was a retired saddler and we learned traditional techniques including hand-rolling linen thread for stitching.

I made hand stitched bridles, headstalls and lots of belts for myself and friends.

Life got busy and I have just picked up my tools again after 20 years!

Sadly, I've noticed my eyes aren't as good now, but I am really looking forward to learning how to make fine leatherwork items.

I really want to make some special gifts for my family - things they will keep forever.
