One for the technically minded leatherworker who is interested in learning how leather used to be (and still is at the best places!) made.

From 1909, this book is HUGE with almost 550 pages of information about tanning, and finishing leather.

If an exploded diagram of a band knife splitting machine or a cross section of a dye drum interests you, then this is a fascinating book.

Note: This book does not contain any information regarding the making up of leather goods, it is simply an interesting read about the material we use.

The text is readable, but not as crisp a copy as some other examples. Please see included pictures.
