I've been 'cutting my teeth' on this glasses case project for what feels like a silly amount of time, but every time I make one, I feel like I skill up one some bit of the work or do something slightly different and learn another thing. These all have Buttero outers with kipskin calf liners. Instead of button snaps, I've used magnets, which I felt allowed me to ditch the inner nose support piece. The green one has the magnet position bumped up to give the stitches some breathing room, which I'll probably incorporate going forward, as well as lengthening the flap a tiny bit to accommodate the altered magnet position. I've burnished edges here as my edge paint work still needs practice before I present anything with it, but I'm quite pleased with how they look and feel burnished instead.
Looking forward to refining my skills more and probably using some of Conceria Walpier's other leathers for future versions.
Wow Feather, those are incredibly well bade glasses cases! Really well done. Is that kipskin chrome tanned? If so, well done for burnishing it with the exterior. Nice photos too.
