Hello I'm William in Alberta, Canada. My interest in leather crafting started just a few years ago when I needed a new tool belt. I've been a carpenter my whole life and wore out several tool belts in my time and decided the next one would be the last and take me to the end of my career into retirement. That tool belt doesn't exist! I looked at everything on the market but never found one with the layout that I wanted, so I'd have to take matters into my own hands.
The journey from tool holders that get tossed around construction sites to Philip's leathercraft masterclass may seem unlikely but my journey of self improvement has taken many turns, this is just the most recent one. I've been enjoying Philip's courses and look forward to reading more here on the forum.
Cheers, William.
Welcome William!
Thank you for sharing your story with us. I did a carpentry and joinery apprenticeship when I was 16 and I remember my first tool belt. It was nylon and made by CK Tools. I couldn't afford one of those fancy leather ones the other carpenters used! That nylon belt soon wore out..
Welcome on board.
