My name is Marty Redd. I am a retired Electronics Engineering Educator and Technician living in a small town just north of Indianapolis, Indiana. My passions are leatherworking, motorcycles, and music of (most) kinds.
I have been involved with leathercraft since the late 1980's when I was introduced to the craft by a brother-in-law and while I was employed as a church organ technician living and working in the southern states of the US. At that time I made a lot of guitar straps which I sold through the music store I worked for, and made other small goods which I sold or gave to friends and family. The rest, as they say, is ancient history. Now that I am retired I can devote my time to this amazing craft we all love.
I hope I will be able to contribute something usefull to this group. It's nice to meet you all!
Hello Marty,
I see we have 3 passions in common! Including the "most" in the music part..
Forget about the leather, tell me about your motorcycle(s) :D
Hey Marty.
Thank you for taking the time to share a bit about yourself. I love hearing how other people get into this wonderful world of leathercraft!
