Hi everybody! I'm an emerging writer/filmmaker from Paris, i started leather work about 7 months ago with the need of making a bag for one of my character, but in hindsight, i've always been attracted towards this craft.. I remember watching "The Motorcycle Diaries" by Walter Salles, a wonderful movie about the early years of Ernesto Che Guevara, the main character skids on a gravelly road and all his personal belongings fall out the motorcycle, leather bags mostly with a puppy in one of them, i remember this image.
Or athletes of the 60s with their leather gym bag going for the feat, there is something touching about that. I'm an athlete too. Here is my last Art film i directed for Hermès :
And here is my website where is published my Film photography work :
Greetings from Paris!
Hi! I remember this movie "The motorcycle Diaries" you are right about that scene. Another movie that I still reminds about inspiratin for leather items is "Flyboys" wit James Franco. Pilots on WWII and their outfits make me think about the infinite possibilities about leather accesories. Nice video the one you directed for Hermes. Greetings from Köln.
@Nabil Mendes Hello Nabil,
Thank you for taking the time to introduce yourself here!
You are a very talented filmmaker, it's so cool that you have produced work for Hermes.
It would be really nice to see you create something for your own work too!
