Does anyone treat their leather veg tan wallets to give the final product a polished/protected look? I find that once I’m done with a wallet, the outside typically has some burnishing cream stain or glue marks from some contact cement that might have rubbed on it. Do you guys wax or polish to get rid Of that stuff and protect the leather from scratches and scuffing?

One thing I’ve done from my days in sneakers is put painters tape on the finished side of the leather while I work on it to protect it. It comes over easily and has never damaged the leather in my experience.
@koorosh.sharghi I typically use a leather wax before cutting out my patterns. This gives a protective finish that will help to repel glue, edge compound or finger dirt during construction. Even a nourishing cream with added waxes will help.
If you add a finish wax after construction, it can get all over your stitching and attract dirt.
Unless I somehow get dirt on my wallets, I never add any finish to the leather. I like my customers to feel the "real" leather, not the protected version of it.
But in the few cases when I do get some dirt on my products, I use the Baume de Soin by Maison Baranne. It leaves a really nice satin coat on top that makes the wallet feel extremly luxurious and hides the small stuff.
Also, the same cream of Alligator, just amazing!
