Making a Phil simple card wallet. Nearly finishe, when noted delamination of green Horween calfskin lining from Hermann Oak veg tan exterior. Adhesive was PVA to the flesh side of the veg tan, allowed to touch dry. The two pieces then mated, rolle, and allowed to dry under weights for a few hours. Any fix? How to prevent next time? Afraid may have to disassemble and redo.

Hello,
Moving this to the "Help Section"
Thanks for your help and encouragement.
Voilà
Did you have glue on both sides? Or just the one? .. one side is ok for a temporary glue, when you’ll be stitching down over the whole area that’s been glued (say a thin edge that you don’t really want glue visible, but need something to just tack it together)
also PVA isn’t quite the same as water based contact adhesive.. very different taste ;-) so its unlikely to have enough grip to hold long term anyway…
